Cross examination of the lead detective in the K Street shooting case continued in a Sacramento courtroom on Tuesday. The cross examination of Shaun McGovern was continued by defense attorney Reid Kingsbury. In Monday’s testimony, it was brought up that a law enforcement database that tracks weapons, casings and the like pinged a gun seized in another crime as having fired some of the casings from the K Street shooting. The defense focused on Tuesday on the fact that two people who were at the scene of the April shooting on K Street seemed to walk up to the body of Joshua Hoye – who was killed shortly after shooting began – and appeared to take items from his body. Six people died, and 12 more were injured in the shooting along the nightlife corridor.
