Oakland man’s soccer academy builds the next generation of players – NBC Bay Area

In the Bay Area, there is a diverse community that’s passionate about the game of soccer. That community includes Golden Boot Academy.

Founded in Oakland by Ethiopian immigrant Nigus Solomon, the academy trains professional athletes like U.S. women’s soccer star Naomi Girma.

Golden Boot not only elevates young players at home but goes across the globe to give back to children who love the beautiful game.
