Crews Battle Growing Blaze in Northern California’s Sacramento Valley

A blaze in northern California’s Sacramento Valley has burned through 869 acres as of Wednesday, June 10, according to fire officials.

Cal Fire said the Putah Fire off Highway 128 in Yolo County was 30 percent contained by Wednesday morning.

All evacuation orders had been lifted and Highway 128 was reopened to traffic in both directions Tuesday evening.

On Wednesday, Cal Fire was expected to have 15 engines, 12 hand crews, four dozers, eight water tenders, and approximately 285 total personnel on the scene of the fire. Credit: Cal Fire LNU via Storyful
