Arson reported near abandoned Clark Kerr building | Campus

UCPD responded to an arson near an abandoned building inside Clark Kerr Campus late Sunday evening. According to a UC Berkeley WarnMe alert, UCPD and Berkeley Fire Department officers quickly extinguished the fire and determined it to be “malicious in nature.”

The arson occurred around 8 p.m. and was reported to UCPD a few minutes later, according to the WarnMe. No structures were damaged in the fire. 

UCPD is currently conducting an investigation into the crime. As of press time, no suspects have been identified.
