A structure fire erupted near two San Francisco restaurants Thursday afternoon, on a tightly-packed street about a block away from Alamo Square.

The San Francisco Fire Department responded just after 3:30 p.m. Thursday to a one-alarm fire at 838 Divisadero St., fire Lt. Mariano Elias said.

The address officials gave is where the popular Italian restaurant Che Fico is located. Elias could not immediately confirm the origin of the fire or what structures were affected.

Firefighters were visible on the roof of Che Fico and neighboring Foghorn Taproom at around 4 p.m. Boba Guys is also located on that block, as is the hostel Let’s Be Buds.

The cause of the fire was not immediately clear Thursday afternoon, and no injuries were reported. The blaze was contained by around 4:15 p.m., Elias said.

Traffic was closed between McAllister and Fulton streets Thursday afternoon.
