FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Matt Horn opened Horn Barbecue at Granite Park at Cedar and Dakota Avenues in Fresno in January.

FOX26 was there ahead of the grand opening on January 20th.

The smiles didn’t last long, however, because just two months later, the restaurant’s employees were complaining about not being paid.

Santino Capps, a sophomore at Fresno State, said her first paycheck bounced. They gave her cash, but then it kept happening.

According to the California Department of Industrial Relations, Capps is not alone.

Horn Barbecue has had 11 claims filed against it across its Oakland, Sacramento, and Fresno locations.

Then, on Thursday, an eviction notice was posted at the business, stating Horn must vacate by next Wednesday.

FOX26 News reached out to the public relations firm for Horn Barbecue, but we have not heard back.
