Eaton Wagler to the Sacramento Kings.

Obviously, the Kings continue to want Acuff here.

All indications are they want Acuff.

Maybe this is all a smokescreen.

I don’t think so.

I think it is very real that Sacramento wants Acuff and views him as a potential face of the franchise for the next decade, and it’s not just rooted in the relationship between Scott Perry and Acuff’s father.

it’s not, has nothing to do with just them being Detroit guys.

It’s their belief in him as a player.

That said, Wagler is the pick here ’cause Acuff got taken at six, and this is a very real potential scenario to think about on draft night.

I remember about, you know, maybe late May, early June, one of the mocks I did, I had Wagler, I think, falling to eighth, and a lot of people were like, “No way.

This isn’t gonna happen.

Wagler’s fifth or sixth at worst.”

D- not so fast.

Wagler, from what I understand, you know, he was expected to be the fifth pick, but I don’t believe the Clippers are super in love with him.

Wagler himself just canceled the group workout with the Nets, who have the sixth pick.

And so, here we are at number seven with Sacramento, and my league sources say he has a workout with Sac next week.

So Wagler will be working out with the Kings as Sacramento continues to do their due diligence on finding a new point guard for their roster moving forward
