BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified an elderly man who died after being found in a house fire in east Bakersfield as 70-year-old David Calderon.
The report said on June 7, 2026, at around 11:23 p.m., Calderon was found unresponsive in a residential fire in the 1000 block of Royal Way in east Bakersfield.
The coroner’s report said he was determined to be deceased at the scene.
An autopsy was conducted, and the cause and manner of death are pending.
