UC Berkeley police are investigating the discovery of a body found on campus Friday morning.

The man’s remains were found by staff a little before 10:30 a.m. in some bushes inside of the West Circle on University Drive, near Weill Hall, according to UC police.

“It does not appear that the male was affiliated with the University,” police officials said in an email. “There was no immediate indication of foul play.”

The Alameda County Coroner’s Office will determine the man’s cause of death.
