Re “San Diego’s leaders must take basic steps to fix city budget” (June 10): A recent letter writer who is dissatisfied with elected San Diego city leaders’ budget cuts and overruns wrote, “If they can’t do the job, they should resign and let voters choose more qualified replacements.” Was he one of the many city voters who made obviously wrong choices in the last election?
Maybe a more sensible option might be for voters who routinely and blindly vote along party lines to vote for a candidate, regardless of party, who takes the more fiscally conservative approach to spending their hard-earned tax dollars.
