ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Major League Baseball released its first ballot update for the 2026 All-Star Game on Monday, and some Tampa Bays Rays are picking up votes.
At third base in the American League, Junior Caminero has 625,520 votes and would start the All-Star Game if the voting ended now. He leads Kazuma Okamoto of the Toronto Blue Jays by about 69,000 votes.
Caminero entered play Monday hitting .271 with 15 home runs and 32 RBI.
Meanwhile, Yandy Diaz has the third-most votes at designated hitter, and Jonathan Aranda is in eighth place among first basemen.
Houston Astros designated hitter Jordan Alvarez has 1,015,768 votes and is the only AL player with more than a million.
In the National League, Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani has 1,165,133 votes and is the only NL player with more than a million. He also pitches for the Dodgers and has posted an ERA of just 1.06 this season.
The All-Star Game will be played July 14 in Philadelphia.
