(FOX40.COM) — The holiday tree is scheduled to arrive at the Old Sacramento Waterfront early Thursday morning, as many begin to prepare for the holiday season.
Officials with Old Sacramento said that Carlton Christmas Trees will deliver the tapered white fir tree from Hatchet Mountain.

The tree is set to arrive on K Street and be placed in a special hole that was dug with the help of Maxim Crane Works.
A Stage Nine Exhibits team will then decorate the tree with almost 24,000 lights, 550 icicles, 400 strobes and more with help from Stage Nine Entertainment.

Officials said that the tree lighting ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. on Nov. 26, before the first live “Theatre of Lights” performance.
