BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A Bakersfield native has been selected to lead the Kern County Fair as its next CEO.
Sean Andrew has been chosen for the position, according to officials, who said he has played a key role in supporting local youth agriculture programs.
Andrew will begin transitioning into the role this month before officially taking over on July 16, 2026.
“The Kern County Fair has always been about community, family, agriculture, and celebrating the people who make this county special,” stated Andrew. “I am honored to step into this role and look forward to working alongside the Board, staff, volunteers, exhibitors, partners, and community members as we continue building on the Fair’s strong foundation.”
