BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Kern County Animal Services has plenty of pets available for adoption and this week they are sharing two very special friends, one of them not so furry.
First, the shelter is highlighting Darlene.
She is a 2-yer old dog who is currently in their foster program and is awaiting adoption.
Shelter Director Nick Cullen says Darlene is good with other dogs and is ok with cats in the home.
He also shared that Darlene has had some training, has been spayed and vaccinated.
The shelter is also highlighting Miriel.
She is a 1-year-old turtle that was found on Ming Avenue by a member of the community.
Miriel will be available for adoption on June 19.
If you would like adopt Darlene, Miriel, or any of the pets available at KCAS visit 3951 Fruitvale Avenue or call (661) 868-710.
