FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — With Fresno Falcons hockey renesting in Selland Arena for their first season in the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL), the team made a major decision official on June 18.

Team President Jimmy Fries introduced former Winnipeg Jets hockey player Iain Duncan as head coach, then talked to FOX26 about what he wants Falcons’ games to look like off the ice.

Iain Duncan brings NHL All-Rookie credentials to the bench in his return to the FPHL as Fresno Falcons head coach.

“It’s all about the show. It’s more than a game; it’s an experience,” said Fries. “Think Las Vegas Golden Knights in the arena. So the ice show, the Flock dance team, the promotions, and the giveaways.”

Fries also explained a deep connection between Fresno and hockey that naturally pulled the Falcons back.
