FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — For Rizpah Bellard of Nova Farming in west central Fresno, it was a typical Monday.

“Feeding animals and shoveling poop,” she said. “A lot of poop over the weekend.”

The animals have no idea the woman who takes care of them has become a bit of a celebrity.

Bellard’s part of the new “Got Milk?” ad campaign.

“I had gotten a random email — it looked like spam,” she said. “They wanted me to be a model representing the Central Valley for the ‘Got Milk?’ 30th anniversary, so I called right away. They wanted me to represent the Central Valley, but also the overall diversity of California.”

Her ads haven’t quite reached Fresno.

“My posters have been in LA, San Francisco, Oakland and Sacramento,” Bellard said.

Bellard is a beef cattle rancher, but she spends a great deal of her time letting students know farming could be in their future.

“I teach ag to youth in hopes they will join me in the ag industry,” she said. “Go to college in the agriculture space, and then also going into the ag sector.”

She loves showing kids where their food comes from, like the time Rizpah brought chickens to school.
