BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Law enforcement with the Bakersfield Police Department’s Vice Unit responded to a report of illegal gambling in the city which resulted in BPD confiscating several items.
Bakersfield police were called to the Golden Mini-Mart located at 1319 Golden State Ave., on Tuesday, June 23, at 9:15 a.m., regarding a complaint of illegal gambling in the store.

During BPD’s investigation, officers seized three illegal gambling machines, along with 517 flavored tobacco and vape products that are illegal under California law and “U.S. currency.”
One of the employees at the business was ticketed for the possession and/or control of an illegal slot machine.
