BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman killed after being struck by a truck on Brundage Lane as 67-year-old Pauline Terrazas of Bakersfield.

The Bakersfield Police Department said on June 21, 2026, at around 9:15 p.m., officers were called to the 600 block of Brundage Lane regarding a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from severe injuries.
The woman, later identified as Terrazas, was taken to a hospital, where she later died.
Bakersfield police said a preliminary investigation found that a man was driving a white Ram pickup eastbound on Brundage Lane when Terrazas entered the roadway northbound within an unmarked crosswalk, resulting in a crash.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Police said at this time, driver impairment and excessive speed do not appear to have been factors in the crash.
