The United States Men’s National Team has made the knockout stage match next week in Santa Clara, and we’re getting closer to knowing who their opponent will be. The Americans will likely take on Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Round of 32 on July 1 at Levi’s Stadium. Bosnia and Herzegovina finished third in Group C after a 3-1 win over Qatar on Tuesday at 5 p.m.The New York Times’ Athletic site put Bosnia and Herzegovina’s odds at playing the U.S. at greater than 99%. The U.S. will play Turkey in its final group stage match on Thursday in Los Angeles. The U.S. are 2-0 in its group and have won consecutive games at a World Cup for the first time since 1930. The Americans have scored six goals, which is one off their record for a World Cup. If the U.S. wins the Round of 32, it will play the Round of 16 in Seattle. Should they win that match, the team would play the quarterfinals in Inglewood. The semifinals would then be played in Arlington, Texas.
