FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Fresno City Council President Nelson Esparza and Councilmember Annalisa Perea are set to introduce legislation creating a 36-month Automated Red-Light Camera Pilot Program.

The proposal would align Fresno with Senate Bill 720, which established a new statewide framework for automated red-light enforcement in California.

If approved, the pilot program would allow the city to test the use of automated cameras at intersections to help reduce red-light violations and improve traffic safety.

FOX26 would like to know, do you think red light cameras will make a difference in the city of Fresno?
