New collaborative aims to help locals secure jobs in Bakersfield with ‘artful engagement’

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A new local collaboration launched in Kern County to help residents find jobs.

The collaboration program is called “Creative Pathways for Healthy Futures” and it was launched by Em Rademacher and Heidi Shubin.

Creative Pathways is currently working on their pilot program which includes adults ages 18 to 30. The program helps the participants “see artful engagement” in entrepreneurial or employment opportunities, Rademacher said.

“Art is everywhere, it impacts everything,” she added.

Shubin, from Dress for Success, said the program helps people who are trying to find a job in the city but need help doing so, find and cater to “their personal style” to help launch them into the workforce.
