Re “Slow down and you might see green sea turtles” (June 19): I read this story with concern. It appears that Mexican-born sea turtles are crossing our border illegally and eating the plentiful eel grasses in our South Bay with no compensation to the U.S. government. Even worse, as they get older, they are crossing back to Mexico to lay their eggs and then recrossing the border to eat more of our eel grass. This shows a blatant disregard for the integrity of our borders. ICE agents should be immediately dispatched to the South Bay on paddle boards to detain these multiple-violation border crossers and place them in an aquatic detention facility until they can be deported, preferably to some desert country.
