San Francisco has turned into the City of Love for Pride weekend.
On Friday morning, hundreds of couples filled City Hall for a special Pride wedding ceremony.
San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie officiated several ceremonies, with couples receiving commemorative Pride marriage licenses and posing for photos at a special booth inside City Hall.
Couples said the day was about celebrating their love in a city with a long history of supporting and celebrating the LGBTQ+ community.
“I mean, San Francisco, historically, has been known as the safe haven for the LGBTQ community, so I’m just so honored to be on the Pride Day weekend, Pride weekend, and yeah, just be here and celebrating our love,” Ted Huang said.
More than 250 couples are scheduled to tie the knot Friday at City Hall.
