(FOX40.COM) — Metro Fire crews battled a fast-growing grass fire that sparked along Jackson Road in rural Sacramento County on Thursday afternoon.

Forward progress was stopped at about 35 acres, according to Metro Fire.

Investigators said an outside vendor was doing weed abatement when the fire was accidentally started.

No injuries were reported, and no structures were threatened.
