America in Bloom Advisors to Visit Downtown Holly
(Main Street Holly, June 27, 2026)
HOLLY, MI— Main Street Holly is excited to welcome America in Bloom (AIB) community advisors on June 29 and 30, 2026, as part of the organization’s inaugural year of participating in the national recognition and education program. The visit will showcase Holly’s comprehensive approach to community beautification across its three sub-districts—Historic Downtown, Mid- Town, and North End.
“America in Bloom validation is about more than aesthetics,” said Kevin Stephison, Executive Director of Main Street Holly. “It’s a framework that connects our Adopt-a-Garden program, our Sign and Façade Grant initiative, and our volunteer energy into something measurable and intentional. This visit reflects the work our community has already done—and it positions us to articulate what comes next.”
AIB advisors will tour Holly’s community improvement initiatives, including:
– Adopt-a-Garden Program: 28 of 40 garden beds now maintained by local volunteers across the three districts
– Sign and Façade Grant Program: Supporting local business investment in storefront improvements (up to $2,000 and $5,000, respectively)
– Planting and Landscape Initiatives: Community-led beautification efforts tied to Main Street Holly’s broader community development agenda
– Strategic Planning and Governance: How Main Street’s Four-Point Approach (Organization, Promotion, Design, Economic Vitality) integrates community beautification into larger revitalization goals Community
Participation Main Street Holly invites residents, business owners, and volunteers to participate in the AIB visit. Community members interested in joining walking tours, sharing their stories, or volunteering during the evaluation should contact Main Street Holly.
“The best part of AIB is that it belongs to the community,” Stephison added. “These advisors are coming to see us—not a polished version of Holly, but the authentic work we’re doing together.”
