Dodger Stadium, the Hollywood Bowl and more put on light show spectaculars for the holiday
From free local gatherings to stadium-sized showcases, Los Angeles is host to a number of noteworthy firework shows this Independence Day. Read on to see where to join in the fun.

Hosted by Queen Latifah and featuring musical guests Chris Stapleton, The Smashing Pumpkins and more, this benefit show at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum is equipped with food, drink, games, giveaways, a drone show and of course, a classic dazzle of fireworks. L.A.’s concert also acts as an anchor point for America’s Block Party, a nationwide event connecting celebrations big and small across the country from July 3 to 4. Whether you’re first through the gates at 3 p.m. or striding in for the show’s start at 6 p.m., America250’s July 4th Concert will be one to remember.

Dinosaurs are coming to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery for Independence Day. Cinespia gets into its patriotic spirit with a screening of a film by one of our country’s greatest directors of all time: Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park. Gates open at 7:15 p.m. and guests are invited to picnic, pose for photos and enjoy DJ tunes until the 9 p.m. start time. Cinespia then levels up its magic with a post-movie fireworks show, melding cinematic and pyrotechnic spectaculars into a singular experience.
If near El Segundo, consider joining the 4th of July Celebration at Stevenson Field. Daytime and evening programming entices with watermelon and pie eating contests and water balloon toss and a variety of races from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., followed by live music featuring the AstroYachts, a Yacht-Rock revue, and food starting at 5 p.m. Stay till the end (or be sure to arrive by) 9 p.m. when fireworks light up the sky. El Segundo residents with a valid rec ID can receive up to four free wristbands to the event and additional general admission wristbands will be available for purchase the day of.

In the Valley, head to Warner Park in Woodland Hills between 6 and 9:30 p.m. for July 4 fun. Courtesy of Councilmember Bob Blumenfield, the Independence Day event presents a free concert featuring Doctor Wu masterfully recreating the music of Steely Dan and carves out space for arts and crafts vendors, local businesses and more than 15 food trucks. Capping a full day of fun, the grand finale goes off with a bang with a 20-minute firework show.

Venture to Dodger Stadium for fastballs and fireworks on July 4 for the 250th Anniversary Fireworks Show. The Dodgers face off the San Diego Padres, and attendees have a chance to take home a Commemorative Coin for America’s 250th and – with the special July 4 ticket package – a Dodgers picnic blanket. Win or lose, stick around after the game to see the sky light up.

Experience a tribute to The Beach Boys’ 60th anniversary of the seminal album Pet Sounds at the Hollywood Bowl. The band is joined by special guest John Stamos and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra conducted by Thomas Wilkins. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and shows start at 7:30 p.m., July 2-4. The first 250 ticketholders to arrive each day will receive complimentary red, white or blue light-up bracelets, so aim to arrive early.

Those in Marina del Rey can relish in a soundtracked fireworks show from 9:00 to 9:20 p.m. from around the marina at Burton Chace Park and Fisherman’s Village. Parking is available at public lots throughout the Marina, Venice and Dockweiler areas. Visitors inquiring about alternative transport are invited to use the Marina del Rey WaterBus, the free beach shuttle and the Marvin Braude Coastal Bike Trail.

The recently opened cocktail bar in Chinatown leans into its inaugural Independence Day festivities with firework viewing from its balcony. Stop in to pair the light show with an evening featuring a guest shift from the team at Spring St Bar, an all-vinyl DJ set from Tiko Marsala and a number of seasonal specials, including the Meyer Lemon Formosawa, Guava Gose and bingsu.
