Re “Feds allege unlicensed Chula Vista woman cared for patients while nurse mother was imprisoned” (June 23): Blanca Estela Cardenas (previously convicted of money laundering) and her daughter Raquel Pasillas have been indicted on charges of fraudulently receiving more than $5.5 million in Medicare reimbursements.
Yet after their alleged crime wave, the judge set Pasillas’ bail at a measly $15,000? She probably had that in her purse and asked for change. Judges need term limits (or common sense).
