A man was arrested Saturday for shooting at bicyclists in the downtown Los Angeles area, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police said a man identified as Edward Sherpa was walking around the area under the influence, armed with a pellet gun. Officers said he then opened fire and struck a bicyclist who was traveling with a group.
The extent of the bicyclist’s injury was not disclosed.
Following the shooting, Sherpa fled the scene, according to LAPD. He was later located and arrested. It’s unclear what charges he may face.
