The homecoming fight for Liz Carmouche could not have gone much better Saturday.

Carmouche, a former Bellator women’s flyweight champion and a longtime San Diegan, moved to the Orlando area from Southern California not long ago. Her return in the PFL San Diego go-main event was one of the most stellar finishes of her career.

Carmouche (26-8) brilliantly jumped for a guillotine choke against Viviane Araujo (14-8) and forced her to tap out in the second round. It was the first recorded guillotine of Carmouche’s lengthy career, her fourth straight win and likely lined her up for a shot at PFL champ Dakota Ditcheva.

In the headliner at Pechanga Arena, A.J. McKee (25-2) dominated Salamat Isbulaev (10-1) for a unanimous decision to hand him the first loss of his career.
