While Pride Month across the U.S. officially ends in June, celebrations continue throughout July across San Diego County, culminating in the city’s annual Pride Parade and Festival.

From rallies, concerts and parties to drag story times, art exhibitions and community gatherings, Pride offers opportunities to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community while recognizing its history and ongoing advocacy for equality.

Here are 15 ways locals can celebrate Pride across San Diego County this July in chronological order.

“Boy My Greatness”: Presented by the Loud Fridge Theatre Group, this play examines the tradition of male actors portraying female characters in Shakespeare’s works while exploring themes of gender identity and belonging. Serenity Pride Yoga: The San Diego LGBT Community Center is hosting four days of Pride-themed yoga at its Hillcrest location. Gay Men’s Book Club: The Mission Hills–Hillcrest/Knox Branch Library hosts a gay men’s book club exploring identity and advocacy through monthly readings of LGBTQ-themed books, followed by group discussion on historical context and present-day impact. “Fellow Travelers” Opera: The San Diego Opera presents “Fellow Travelers,” a contemporary American opera performed with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. Pride story time: Performers for Drag Queen Story Hour San Diego will read children’s books in public library settings to promote literacy and self-expression. City Heights/Weingart Library will host Willow BeMine on July 10, followed by University Heights Library hosting Friidae on July 16. The Studio Door Exhibition: The Studio Door, a contemporary art gallery in Hillcrest, presents the ninth annual PROUD+, a contemporary art exhibition showcasing LGBTQ+ visual art from 56 different artists from 13 states. Queer Comedy Brunch “Pride and Seek”: Mic Drop Comedy will host “Pride and Seek,” a 21-and-over queer comedy brunch featuring stand-up performances from LGBTQ+ comedians. Rich’s Pride: Rich’s, one of San Diego’s best-known LGBTQ+ nightclubs, will host seven Pride Week events under this year’s “Candyland” theme. The Spirit of Stonewall Rally: San Diego Pride’s annual advocacy event honors leaders in the LGBTQ+ community and highlights current issues affecting the community. Held in recognition of the June 1969 Stonewall uprising, the rally brings together advocates and members of the community. 6 p.m. July 17. 535 Robinson Ave., San Diego. sdpride.org/rally-2026

The Parade: Drawing more than 250,000 attendees, the San Diego Pride Parade is the region’s largest single-day event. Pride Festival: The annual San Diego Pride Festival will feature live entertainment under this year’s theme, “Pride Shines On.” The lineup includes headliners Krewella on Saturday and Marina on Sunday, with performances throughout the weekend.
