Noteworthy: The freshman libero had six aces and 14 digs to lead Long Beach Poly to a 3-0 victory over San Marcos in the quarterfinals of the CIF-SS Division 2 playoffs. Poly lost to Santa Margarita 3-0 in the semifinals but earned a trip to the CIF State playoffs. The state brackets will be released Sunday.
