Julie Gallant, reporter for the Ramona Sentinel, won one award in the Society of Professional Journalists San Diego Chapter 2026 journalism awards competition.

The awards were announced June 25 at a ceremony at Riverwalk Golf Club.

Gallant won third place for Government story in the Nondaily Reporting and Writing category for  “U.S. Rep introduces bill to rename Ramona Post Office after boxer Archie Moore”
