Re “San Diego’s housing secrecy is outrageous” (June 27): In pulling back the curtain on the “Neighborhood Homes for All of Us” political scam, Danna Givot has shown us that arrogance at City Hall knows no bounds.
For many months, your Opinion pages have spilled over with public contempt for Mayor Gloria especially and also for the City Council. They must be aware that our tolerance for their duplicity is long gone. But they keep doubling down, staging farcical “community outreach” stunts, ignoring public records act requests and colluding with cronies.
Why do they continue to provoke us? In Gloria’s case, he is running out the clock on his political career and likely doesn’t care what anyone thinks. But what about the council?
Candidates for city offices, take note: If you’re elected, and you disrespect your constituents in this manner, they will show you no mercy.
