Applications for 28th Via Arte Chalk Festival open

The Bakersfield Museum of Art is now accepting applications for the 28th annual Via Arte Chalk Festival.

Artists looking to apply must do so by Monday, September 7, 2026.

Applicants must be 18 and older to sign up. Those under the age of 18 can sign up for the high school group.

Selected artists will be notified by September 13th, 2026.

The festival will then take place at The Marketplace on Ming Ave. on October 17th and 18th from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
