OAKLAND, Ore. — An Oakland man was arrested Tuesday after pointing rifle at passing I-5 traffic in Douglas County, Oregon State Police said.
Around 11:45 a.m. on June 30, OSP responded to the report of a person holding what looked like a rifle and pointing it at passing traffic.
A trooper observed a man standing on I-5 near the southbound milepost 146 off-ramp, pointing the gun at passing vehicles.
The individual was located at a nearby residence and arrested.
The weapon was determined to be a pellet gun, OSP said.
“As far as responding troopers know, the individual did not fire the pellet gun, and there were no reported injuries,” OSP stated.

The individual, Tommie Lee Marsh, 48, of Oakland, was lodged at the Douglas County Jail and charged with Disorderly Conduct II and Menacing.
