A fire in Suffolk’s Oakland area left three adults and a child displaced, with no injuries reported. The Red Cross is assisting the affected family.
SUFFOLK, Va. — Four people are displaced from their home after a fire in the Oakland area of Suffolk on Wednesday afternoon.
The fire in the 5500 block of Godwin Boulevard was reported at 2 p.m., according to Suffolk Department of Fire & Rescue. Heavy smoke and fire was showing from the front of a single-story home when fire crews arrived on scene.
All of the occupants had escaped the house prior to firefighters arriving. The fire was placed under control at 2:29 p.m. Nobody was injured.
Three adults and one child were displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
