FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Chants of “USA! USA! USA!” filled Dave & Buster’s in Fresno Tuesday night as soccer fans gathered to watch Team USA take on Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Decked out in red, white and blue, dozens of supporters packed the restaurant and arcade to watch the U.S. Men’s National Team earn a victory at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

For many fans, watching the match at Dave & Buster’s was the next best thing to being there in person.

“We couldn’t go, so we’re here,” one couple said before the match.

The excitement grew throughout the evening as every scoring chance brought cheers from the crowd. When Team USA found the back of the net, fans erupted in celebration, chanting, waving flags and high-fiving fellow supporters.

The watch party carried extra meaning for many in the Central Valley because Fresno native Max Arfsten was on the U.S. Men’s National Team roster. Fans said seeing a local player represent the United States on the international stage made them even more excited to support the team.

“Go Team USA!” fans shouted as the match continued.

The celebration wasn’t limited to the action on the field.

Dave & Buster’s also rewarded fans in attendance with raffle prizes throughout the night, giving guests even more reasons to celebrate. The General Manager said the watch party was designed to bring the community together while supporting Team USA.

With the United States securing the win, fans left Dave & Buster’s celebrating both the victory and a memorable night cheering on their team alongside fellow soccer supporters.
