LONG BEACH – The Long Beach Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating a man wanted on a murder charge.
Police said Hallis Wayne Russ Jr. is wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in the 18000 block of Allen Road.
According to a July 2 news release, Russ is accused of shooting a 38-year-old man multiple times. The victim was pronounced dead.
Authorities said Russ should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information about Russ’ whereabouts is asked to submit an anonymous tip to Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers by downloading the P3 Tips app or by calling **TIPS.
Police said tips must be submitted directly through Crime Stoppers to be eligible for a cash reward.
Russ is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
