A massive sound-stage complex at 3030 Andrita St. is up for lease or sale, with no price listed. The 108,249-square-foot BoxCar Studios has three sound stages with 34,500 square feet of space. The site has previously hosted the ABC soap opera “All My Children,” the sitcom “Lady Dynamite,” and the sketch comedy show “W/ Bob & David,” according to Hollywood Reporter, which notes a falling occupancy rate at L.A. soundstages in general.

Now, as construction resumes on the mixed-use development, the anonymous artist behind the bird has stepped forward. The comment period for the proposed Arroyo Seco Water Reuse Project has again been extended. Remarks on the Draft Environmental Impact Report will now be accepted until 11:59 pm on Saturday, Aug. 1. Two regional stormwater capture and treatment sites would be located primarily in Pasadena and South Pasadena. Five new residential units would be added to a property that already has a single-family home, under plans filed for 130 S. Ave 56. The new additions would consist of a two-unit, two-story ADU, and a two-story addition to an existing garage to create three new apartments.

TV writer Brian Boyle, whose credits included “Friends” and “Veronica’s Closet,” brought in a designer before he actually chose a new house. “I don’t know how many people are friendly enough with their designers to say, ‘Let’s go on house tours together,'” said his designer, Daphne Nauleau. Construction has begun on six stories of affordable housing at 825 Hyperion Ave., with 105 apartments — 83 low-income units, 21 moderate-income units, and one market-rate manager’s apartment. Plans for the property seem to have changed significantly since 2022, when it was just 50 apartments, only five of which were to be set aside for extremely low-income tenants. Urbanize
