Beverly Hills Adds Five New Sculptures to Community Parks

Beverly Hills, MI – Beverly Hills continues the tradition of embracing public art and supporting local artists with their Sculptures in the Parks program.
The program started in 2022. The idea was proposed by Janice Hausman, a member of the Beverly Hills Parks & Recreation Board, and enthusiastically supported by the Village Council. This year the city had a record number of entries.
Among the pieces is “Air Bee N Bee,” which is a sculpture, a shelter for bees, and an educational tool created by Justin LaDoux. According to the city’s website, “Through this sculpture, La Doux aims to raise awareness about the crucial role these creatures play while providing them with a safe haven.” La Doux enjoys making ” sculptures using various materials to explore the relationships between humanity, nature, and the environment.”
Matt Goodrich, Chair of the Parks & Recreation Board: ” The Sculptures in the Parks program is a unique way to combine an appreciation for art with an enjoyment of our community’s outdoor spaces.”
