As such, according to Jake Fischer in Bleacher Report, the Kings are not planning any buyout options this offseason, as they are hoping LaVine will be a key candidate that several teams will pursue before the trade deadline of the next 2026-27 NBA season.
“I have not heard of Zach LaVine as a buyout candidate,” the NBA insider claimed. “To my understanding, the Kings are hoping that LaVine, now that he is in the final year of his deal, could play his way to being a trade candidate in February before the trade deadline.”

He averaged 19.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 47.9% from the field and 39.0% from the three-point range.
