Driver arrested after woman killed crossing the street in Pacoima – NBC Los Angeles

A driver has been arrested on suspicion of DUI after authorities say he hit and killed a woman who was crossing the street in Pacoima Tuesday night.

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the 12600 block of Branford Street.

According to the LAPD, the woman was crossing the street shortly after 9 p.m. in an unmarked crosswalk.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene and was taken into custody. No further details were immediately available.
