A California college student is accused of raping a 12-year-old girl in his dorm room, then giving her a Plan B emergency contraceptive.
Andres Manuel Aguilar, a 19-year-old Menlo College student, is charged with two counts of sexual assault of a juvenile and one count of providing marijuana to a juvenile.
“He then became worried about pregnancy, and he called DoorDash to deliver Plan B prevention,” San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe alleged to PEOPLE. “He gave it to her and then he allowed her, he said, ‘OK, you can go home.’ And she told her mother when she got home and her mother took her to Stanford Hospital and of course the people at Stanford called the police.”
According to the report, Aguilar met the girl at a bus stop on May 4.
“He comes up to her, starts talking to her,” Wagstaffe added. “She told him she was 17 years old, but he knew she wasn’t that old.”
Aguilar was arrested at the dorm on May 12.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, July 8, but was continued as investigators look into a potential other victim.
“It was continued because there is a possibility that we have a second victim,” Wagstaffe adds. “The police are investigating that. That’s an ongoing investigation … But at this point, it isn’t like we have a second victim. It’s apparently there’s a possibility. So, that’s being looked into.”
