A group of armed men broke into the Mar Vista home of rapper Jamari Spencer early Friday and took off with $200,000 worth of items, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The LAPD tells NBC4 Investigates that Spencer was inside his home recording music at the time when three men armed with an AR pistol and handgun broke in at around 4 a.m.

The men took off through a back alley towards Victoria Avenue and fled in an unknown direction. 

They took clothing, watches and electronics valued at approximately $200,000, the LAPD said. 

It was not clear if anyone was injured.
