Murder suicide probe underway in residential area of Westwood – NBC Los Angeles

A possible murder suicide investigation was underway in Westwood after a man and woman were found dead with gunshot wounds Friday.

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call at around 5:40 a.m. Friday on Holmby Avenue near Wellworth Avenue, just west of the Los Angeles Country Club in a residential neighborhood of Westwood.

It was not immediately clear what led to the deadly shootings. Police did not release the identifies of the deceased.

There was no known threat to the public, the LAPD said.
