“Real Housewives of Orange County” star Jennifer Pedranti has revealed her son was involved in starting a brush fire in California.
“I would like to clear up the rumblings of my son having involvement in the Ladera Ranch fire,” Pedranti wrote in an Instagram post on Thursday.
“He and others were involved,” she confirmed. “My ex husband and myself take this very serious. This behavior is unacceptable and we are deeply sorry to our community. This is a tough learning moment for our son and our family.”
The Orange County Fire Authority received multiple calls on Tuesday around 4:45 p.m. regarding a vegetation fire in Ladera Ranch that was “threatening nearby homes,” the agency said in a statement. A “coordinated ground and air response” stopped the flames — initially sparked along Narrow Canyon Road — after it spread seven acres, “preventing injuries and protecting homes.”
Pedranti said she was “so thankful there was no property damage and nobody was hurt,” before going on to praise the “absolutely amazing” first responders.
“There were no arrests made, but consequences for actions are being put into place. He will be taking a fire safety course to make sure a mistake like this never happens again,” the reality TV star concluded. “There are consequences within our family and we will make sure our son learns from this accident.”
Pedranti has sons Harrison, 22, Dawson, 19, Greyson, 16, and Dominic, 12, as well as daughter Everleigh, 14, with ex-husband William. She did not say who was involved in the sparking of the blaze.
Pedranti has appeared on RHOC since 2023, and she recently returned as a full-time cast member for the Bravo series’ 20th season, which premiered Thursday. She is currently engaged to Ryan Boyajian.
