BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Three men were found guilty of robbing employees of a Bakersfield marijuana dispensary, prosecutors said.

Miguel Arredondo, 34, Hector Reynaga, 25, and Martin Zendejas, 29, were convicted last week of robbery, false imprisonment, intimidating a witness and other crimes, according to a release from the District Attorney’s Office.

The jury found true that all three used a gun, prosecutors said.

A sentencing hearing is scheduled Dec. 4 at which Arredondo faces up to 25 years to life in prison and Reynaga and Zendejas each face up to 25 years.

On Sept. 22, 2023, the defendants confronted and disarmed a security guard at the dispensary then entered and demanded employees hand over money and marijuana products, according to the release.

Bakersfield police officers arrived. The defendants forced a woman in the dispensary to make a false emergency call in an attempt to get them to leave, according to the release.

The attempt failed, the men were arrested and everyone else was safely released, prosecutors said. Four firearms — including the gun taken from the security guard — were found hidden in the ceiling.
