The Pittsburg City Council is being asked to extend its services agreement with Entertainment Lane, Inc. for the Operation and Management of the California Theatre.
The amendment extends the agreement one year through June 30, 2027, modifies the compensation schedule, and increases the total not-to-exceed contract amount to $1,400,000.
Entertainment Lane, Inc. has provided management and operational services for the California Theatre under the Agreement since July 1, 2023.According to the city, the compensation is for $29,166 per month and for a total funding amount of $350k for the 1-year extension.
Under the new agreement, it allows reimbursement for the cost of parts necessary to repair lighting, sound, audiovisual equipment, and other theatre-related systems. The Agreement also maintains the existing revenue-sharing provision, under which the Entertainment Lane, Inc. is to receive 20% of gross theatre revenues exceeding $650,000, including grants, donations, and other applicable revenue sources.
The amendment includes the following:
Extends the agreement term through June 30, 2027;
Replaces Compensation Schedule (Exhibit B) and establishes annual compensation of $350,000, payable in monthly installments of $29,166.66;
Authorizes reimbursement for parts required to repair lighting, sound, audiovisual equipment, and other theatre-related systems; and
Continues the existing provision allowing Entertainment Lane, Inc. to receive 20 percent of gross revenues exceeding $650,000.
