No matter how robustly you wave your broomstick or the number of potent spells you cast, you can’t summon a ticket to Knott’s Scary Farm, one of the longest running Halloween happenings in Southern California and beyond, before those sought-after tickets are ready to emerge.

And emerge, they now have, through the roiling mist and dense fog and moonlight, all to give ghoul-loving revelers a peculiar place to experience some of the most imaginative haunted experiences, creative displays, and eeky eats around.

Let us cease the spells and broom-waving and get down to the dastardly details: Knott’s Scary Farm will shimmer, spookily, at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, on select nights, from Sept. 17 through Oct. 31.

Tickets went on sale July 10, meaning you and your monsters can start dreaming — or nightmare-ing — about your autumn adventures at the history-packed theme park.

The boldly themed mazes, often filled with human-sized spiders, impish ghosts, and mischievous dolls that stoke dread, remain a central and scream-inducing focus for guests, as do the bevy of live shows that spotlight a cast of charismatically creepy characters.

Knott’s Spooky Farm is known for its full slate of frights, which are brought to life, or perhaps “undead” is more accurate, courtesy of a visionary team of writers, tech wizards, designers, and hundreds of energetic, ready-to-make-you-jump performers.

Wait: “Hundreds” feels rather low, as “… more than 1,000 horrifying creatures” will be lurching and scowling and shuffling and grinning just beyond your glance, out in the theme park’s famous fog.

Eek. Big, big eek.

Ready to tally up the terror in other ways? There are 10 mazes on the upcoming roster, five “Creepy Scare Zones,” and a trio of shows to behold, if you dare.

Details about each experience will be further illuminated at the park’s “Nightmares Revealed” event in August.

Whatever the 2026 eek-stravaganza holds, regulars always look forward to spying the event’s iconic Green Witch, as well as a busy batch of goblins, spirits, and other supernatural figures, the characters who are eager to lift the veil between worlds and give guests a playful peek at the other side.
