A man was shot near Fern Street and Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco’s Lower Nob Hill neighborhood early Sunday.

The San Francisco Police Department arrived at 1:11 a.m. and found an adult man with a gunshot wound. Paramedics treated him before he was transported to a local hospital with  life-threatening injuries. 

Police said they have not made any arrests and that the investigation is open and active. Anyone with information related to the shooting can reach police at 415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.
